Rosa Crux:
In Tenebris
Rosa Crux is a unique band in the "goth"
scene. Lead for nearly 20 years by Olivier Tarabo, this
project melts music, performances et visual experiences.
The ones who had the luck to see them on stage with all
their weird machines, are unlikely to forget it!
After four years of abscence, here's a new opus. As a
Rosa Crux album is generally built on a concept, In Tenebris
deals with the eclipse.
The night meeting the day, we could ask to ourselves which
side would be dominating. The title was a clue, but we
didn't expect that In Tenebris would go so deep in the
dark side!
All the work started the 11-08-1999, when the eclipse
was total at the place where the band lives. A short movie
(viewable on the CD-ROM track of the album) based on the
same concept was also made. Featuring "Earth's Dance"
(the band's most famous performance), this movie is dark
and weird, fitting perfectly with the music. A pure wonder!

Fields of
the Nephilim: Fallen
Here's the long awaited new album,
five years after the band's reformation!
Fallen is cool to listen to, between early Fields and
Nefilim (Carl Mc Coy 's crossover side project), but it
gives a weird impression because some titles sound...
old... As if it was actually early stuff slightly reworked
to sound more actual.
The situation gets more complicated when Carl Mc Coy say
that "Fallen" is just a bench of early demos
published by his label without his consent (a lawsuit
seems to be engaged). He also invited his fans to boycott
it (or to download the tracks from the Net) and to wait
for the "real" new album "coming soon"!
We dunno when it'll be released, but it's already a legend.
The question now is to know if it'll remain just a myth
or not!
